What is the meaning of AI Wrap in Canvases?

Back to Create your Canvas

One way to personalize the print of your photo or image is to choose how the canvas is wrapped around the frame, as this can really change the look of the print. Here are the options available:

-AI Wrap
If you choose AI Wrap, we will use tools such as Generative Fill, Generative Expand or Content Aware Fill to analyze your photo and fill the wrap area. It will look very similar to Gallery Wrap or Mirror Wrap. The mirror effect is most often used on landscape photos, while the AI effect is ideal for all types of photos but is most often used on photos of people.

-Black Wrap or Black edge Canvas

A black border has been added around the canvas to give it a clean, minimalist look. As you can see, the image only appears on the front of the canvas. The sides are solid black.

-White Wrap or White edge Canvas

A white border has a similar effect to a black border. However, it can make the canvas appear to float when placed on light colored walls.

-Gallery Wrap or Stretched Edge

Another common canvas wrapping style is the stretched edge style, which stretches several inches of the image across the canvas frame. This option provides a continuous image on all sides of the canvas frame and is best suited to large landscape images and prints that do not contain intricate detail near the edges.
