Premium Custom Canvas Prints: Our Process

Our premium custom canvas prints bring together your own image, heavyweight canvas, hand-applied varnish and careful stretching. Canvas Palette has been creating canvas prints since 2012, with free shipping to Canada and the U.S.

Start with your photograph or artwork

Upload your photo to the canvas builder, compare sizes and preview the crop. You can print your image directly or use the optional AI tools to explore a different style. Review your chosen image and canvas options before ordering.

Print, stretch and finish by hand

We print photographs and artwork on heavyweight 400 GSM canvas and stretch the canvas over its supporting frame. The material, image preparation and construction all contribute to the finished piece.

Hand-applied varnish is part of the finish

Varnish protects the printed surface and changes how it catches the light. Standard varnish is included with regular custom canvas prints; specialty finishes offer different sheen and decorative effects. Explore our canvas varnish finishes and compare the available options in the builder.

Choose a gallery wrap or floating frame

A gallery wrap carries the image around the canvas sides. Solid black, solid white and AI-extended sides are available when you want a different edge treatment. Black and gold floating frames add a border with a recessed gap around the canvas.
